Okay so you know I am marrying a Mountain Man right? One day in late September Ken said he was tired and going to sleep. As he left the room he said you are planning the wedding right? I said no, what wedding? He said “Ours”. So I said no, why would I be, we’re not engaged. So then he said well your sister said it takes a while to plan a wedding and since we’re getting married in April, don’t you think you should start?

So, once I got over the shock, I jumped up and ran after him to pick a date. This wasn’t the proposal though.

On October 11, 2003, we went shopping for the ring. Of course Vanessa, Anthony and I had already been shopping. We got my engagement ring, and our wedding rings. But Ken said I had to wait for the ring. Later that day we went to dinner at Vincent’s Clam Bar, which is the restaurant we met at. Right after we ordered dinner, Ken said “Well since we’re making all the arrangements for the wedding, do you think we should make it official and get hitched? I said no, and then noticed he was holding the ring. He laughed and put the ring on me. I said but I said no. Ken said, well the last one said yes and that didn’t work, so I’ll take it as a good thing.

He has since asked me to marry him again. This time it was in the living room, we were goofing around, but he asked so nice and sweet. And this time I did say “yes”
